Contamination proves registered pesticides are useless

Dear Lyndon, The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) reported that the number of adverse effects incidents due to "registered" pesticide exposures have more than doubled since the 1997 implementation of the Section 6(a)(2) Rule of FIFRA according to the Bureau of National Affairs (BNA) Daily Environment Report (No. 246, Dec.23, 1999). There no longer is any question that your "registered" POISONS can and do cause significant "registered" contamination and/or that these "registered" POISONS can and do harm people and pets.

The Spring issue - Volume 20 of the JOURNAL OF PESTICIDE REFORM noted that over half of the children of parents who are pesticide applicators have already been exposed to levels of insecticide POISONS above EPA's reference dose, the amount of active ingredient that the EPA believes (over a lifetime of exposure) will hopefully have no serious deleterious effects. Lyndon, are you bothering to check all of your POISON applicators' children's for exposure levels from your "registered" POISONS? Have you bothered to make sure all of your agricultural workers and applicators know their children are in danger from the "registered" POISON contamination the dust, wind, water and/or their parents bring back home to expose their children and other family members?

Some of my dearest friends just purchased a home in an older section of Sarasota, Florida that had not been treated with any known "registered" pesticides for over 13 years with
no pesticide applications, the home is so contaminated with numerous "volunteer" pesticides the people should evacuate and the neighborhood does not have routine lawn "care". Even so, I advised them to have the furnace filter tested for "registered" pesticide contamination/"residues". The analysis of the furnace filter showed very high contamination levels of two common synthetic pyrethroids - resmethrin and sumithrin. The sample also showed significant contamination levels of chlorpyrifos, aldrin, technical chlordane, heptachlor, alpha chlordane, gamma chlordane and transnonachlor. My friends learned that the previous occupant had died. The widow was very surprised to hear how much "registered" POISON contamination was present in their home, that they had purposely tried to keep pesticide-free! Just the cyclodiene chlorinated hydrocarbon contaminations appear to STILL exceed the evacuation levels, even though these terrible "registered" POISONS have all been "banned" at least since 1989!

Rachel Carson in Silent Spring once noted: "If, having endured much, we have at last asserted our 'right to know', and if, knowing, we have concluded that we are being asked to take senseless and frightening risks, then we should no longer accept the counsel of those who tell us we must fill our world with poisonous chemicals; we should look about and see what other course is open to us."

Lyndon, you know the use of your "registered" poisons has already contaminated our world and your "registered" POISONS are truly attacking us, but, the very fact your "registered" POISONS are now omnipresent in our air, water and food also proves these "registered" toxins are useless in actually "controlling" PESTS!

Lyndon, literally every drop of rain that falls, every breeze that blows, virtually everything we eat or drink and every living thing is now significantly contaminated with at least one or more of just your active POISON ingredients, Even the polar bears are now contaminated with significant amounts of "registered" agricultural pesticide POISONS, when it is very obvious that there is no agriculture to "protect" for many hundreds of miles! Yet even with all this significant "registered" POISON contamination the pest populations everywhere are actually INCREASING! To continue on this "registered" course is absolute insanity!

One does not have to be a Senior Research Scientist to see that your "registered" POISONS are not at all "safe" nor are they very "effective". If your "registered" Poisons were effective we would have eradicated every "pest" species on earth many generations ago with just the "registered" contamination we had then - today the "registered" contamination levels are even worse yet the "pests" continue to thrive! While the amounts of your "registered" pesticide POISONS and all of our "pest problems" are increasing - we are approaching the destruction of our entire planet from the resulting "registered" contamination. Whole species are disappearing. We and our children are getting sicker and even dying - all because you refuse to use common sense rather than "registered" POISONS!

Lyndon, I have proven "my" alternatives are safer and far more effective in actually solving pest problems than your "registered" POISONS, when will it be "legal" (in your opinion) to actually control pest problems with unregistered alternatives in California?
