Dear Mr. Helliker,  I thought you might like to know what the Pesticide Data Program - Annual Summary Calendar Year 1999 - conducted by the USDA found in our food.

When samples of Fresh and Processed Fruit and Vegetables were analyzed 67.3% had pesticide "residues" (I prefer to call it contamination.)  There were 87 different pesticide "residues" found in our fruit and vegetables and often a single commodity had many different "residues" detected.  Strawberries, sweet peppers and spinach, all had over 40 different "residues".

Well Mr. Helliker,  I would like to note that none of the "acceptable tolerances" for each of these "registered" active POISON ingredients takes into consideration the synergistic dangers that these different "residues" can and do create for the consumer.

Respectfully,  Stephen L. Tvedten
