Comments: Dow Chemical - Agent Orange

After 6 months no one is willing to do a soil sample, not council, not health, not local council, no one, because a positive test result means Dow supports NZ financially for 20 years. and Bhopal??

I just returned from beach walk and in front of Dow research farm at base of cliff are 6 plastic containers -20 ltr- 1 marked Dow Elanco 2 4 D

I would advise giving any NZ seafood a miss for about 20 years now.
We photographed the area and containers, all toxic chemicals and mostly from Dow, I am at a loss as to what to do cause the police will just lose them. the production date on the 2

Yes anyone can and does go to this beach. this area on the beach is straight below Dows experiment farm, they have already had to move a 4000 cubic meter dump of toxics 1/4 mile back from same beach location. why it was buried again is????????? How these containers got there? Pitched off the top of cliff? mostly empty did not seem important,, I don't know. Vietnam Vet says its same smell as A/O tho.
He said some other things too, but we won't go there. Vietnam may take 100+ years to actually end.

If "they" would have sprayed the jungle with borax "they" would have defoliated the trees and not caused all of the terrible and ongoing health problems. But there obviously is more money in using "registered" POISONS!

Patty Clary, director of Californians for Alernatives to Toxics, suggested I read A Bitter Fog, by Carol van Strum ('83, Sierra Books). I just got it via an Internet used book location service. It is an accounting of Agent Orange use buy the Forest Service in Coastal Oregon and a community fight to try to stop it.

I was unable to do much else as I read it over 2 days' time. It was like a rundown of my own Sonoma Valley Schellville neighborhood (the Carneros District). 2-4, D, one of the components of Agent Orange, is used there, along with Paraquat (everyone thinks it was banned long ago....), Carbaryl, Metam Sodiumetc.... going through records of one neighbor grower, Dale Ricci, whose vineyards are surrounded by cancers, thyroid problems, people and animals dead, extreme skin problems, a dog dead of uterine hemmorhaging, etc., I saw 35+ pesticides listed.

2-4, D is also used by the Mulas family on pastureland for their cows and by the Kiser family for oats and hay. The whole southern part of the Sonoma Valley (right by the sloughs and creek feeding right into the San Pablo Bay) are slathered in their 2-4, D use.

Needless to say, I highly recommend this as reading for any pesticides activist, particularly if you have never lived in an ag area or do but haven't yet come to realize that your neighbors are suffering in endless ways as you probably are..... everyday I am thankful that I worked things out to get my kids out of that toxic pit......

Dow should be cleaning this up!!, are they going to do a "Carbide" and just leave a mess?
There must be many sick people there, Non Hodges Lymph and skin probs, if its 2-4-5-T. USA answers to no one. what to do?
