EPA Requests National Academy of Sciences Input on Consideration of Certain Human Toxicity Studies; Announces Interim Policy

I am a Viet Nam vet with Cancer I was exposed to Agent Orange is there any recourse for me?
I believe they (EPA) has always done human testing. To my knowledge they 'register' chemicals or products they think might be dangerous to humans or the environments, then after, say 30 years of data, they 'phase' out those that have killed humans or seriously harmed the environment. In otherwords, after the 'human experiement' shows some actual numbers. This was the case with DURSBAN, the pesticide of choice for many a school system, until the EPA recently 'phased' it out.
In my opinion, the harm is not necessarily in the ingestion of a harmful chemical, it is in the long term low level exposure and the timing of the exposure. This is the type of exposure that children receive in a home that is treated, in a school that is treated, on a playing field that is treated, living next to an area that is regularly treated and in a playground made of treated material.
An ingestion of poison can be quickly and efficiently addressed by the medical profession. Long term exposure and its side effects are just beginning to be acknowledged by much of the medical profession - and by the EPA.
We have a long way to go and much to do if we truly want to protect humans from harmful chemicals including pesticides.
