Fumes Set Off Sensors at Pentagon
WASHINGTON (AP) — Nearly 1,000 people were evacuated from the Pentagon on Monday after employees smelled a strong, chemical odor that turned out to be weed killer and paint thinner, officials said.
The odors set off chemical sensors installed in the building after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11.
No one became ill because of the odor, officials said.
Employees in two quarters of the complex were evacuated while investigators looked for the source of the chemical odor.
They were allowed back into the building a few hours later.

Well Mr. Helliker, it is interesting that the military/chemical sensors determined your "registered" herbicide POISONS being used outside as a threat to the occupants inside.Respectfully, Stephen L. Tvedten
