Is Spraying For West Nile Pointless?
http://abcnews.go.com/sections/wnt/DailyNews/westnile_spraying020808.html

I just received the following e-mail:

(I contacted you earlier concerning my daughter, JoAnna, who was sprayed with malathion from a crop duster.

Two years ago we bought a house and moved into the town of Charleston, MS to escape the crop dusters.  Now the Charleston City Commission is considering spraying pesticides in order to control the outbreak of West Nile.

I plan to attend the meeting of the City Commission on Tuesday, August 13 and would appreciate any information you could give to assist in "swatting down" the idea of spraying these pesticides.

Thanks,
Sandra Johnson)

I consistently found greater mosquito populations after a POISON spray than before, on Sanibel Island, over 20 years ago.  What is not done for love is done for money.  Steve
