No charges over poison error
The contractors who mistakenly dropped 1080 poison into water supplies near Nelson have escaped prosecution.

Eleven farms and three households around Golden Bay were affected, leading to milk being dumped and bobby calves being rejected by meatworks.

The Nelson Marlborough District Health Board says the mistakes arose from bad communication and incorrect mapping of water supplies.

All future aerial 1080 drops will use GPS satellite plotting to ensure water supplies are not in the target zone.

Well Mr. Helliker, No sense in crying over spilled milk.  Wink, wink, nod, nod.
