Pesticide Kills One, Makes 10 Ill In German Church
URSENSOLLEN, Germany - One man died and 10 other people were ill after a church interior was sprayed with toxic pesticide, police in this southern German town said Friday. The gas spray was used to rid wooden structures in the Bavarian church of worms. A 39-year-old father of three living in a neighboring house died a day after the start of work at the church after complaining at a local clinic of exposure to the fumes. His 36-year-old wife and their children aged between 10 and 14 were being treated at the clinic's intensive care ward.
