This is a picture of Leo as I received him in 1998. He was 2.5 years old and weighed 435 lbs. He had no hair (you could barely tell he was a pinto) from malnutrition with large lumps on his leg bones and face caused from his body trying to live by eating itself internally. Sounds crazy but true. He also had upper respiratory problems with mucous coming from his eyes and nose. He also had pneumonia.
The vet recommended euthanasia and I, of course, begged for half a chance for him. The SPCA wanted to put him down also so I offered to be the one responsible for all his bills. The vet said it could take months for recovery, if at all, with a case this bad and started him on antibiotics. After 2 days he got even sicker when he plugged up and couldn’t defecate.
I switched to OdorGone® in his water and on his hay. I sprayed Kritter Spritz® in his face, up his nose, on his skin, hooves and his eyes several times a day. He was also put on a very good diet. In three weeks his respiratory symptoms were completely gone and his hair began to grow back.
This is Leo now at 850 lbs. He is a very beautiful, brightly colored pinto gelding with lots of personality and very loving in spite of everything he’s been through. He’s my horse now. I’ll never adopt him out.
He loves the Kritter Spritz® and lets me spray his face without even putting on a halter. All of my rescued horses respond very well to this product. It is great for clearing mucous like conjunctivitis and it seems to discourage the flies from getting in their eyes.

My crew and I are responsible for the continuing care and health of 30, highly trained horses that perform nightly at the Excalibur. Kritter Spritz® has been used very successfully for irritation from minor cuts and scratches, dry scaly skin and even eye problems, with no fuss from the horses.
We’ve always had resistance to the application of eye washes. The medicated products we’ve used in the past, required washing and rinsing down with some drying effect to the skin and coat. Now, all we do is spray the affected area and walk away. The horses seem to heal faster and their coats are free of dander around the tail and mane.
We even keep a spray bottle in the first-aid kit, kept on hand during performances. I would recommend Kritter Spritz® as a good grooming product.

This is a report on the 4 dogs chosen for our control experiment using Nature’s Original Kritter Spritz®. These dogs were selected from a larger group scheduled for euthanasia because of their chronic skin problems.
Our veterinarian had determined that, in order for these dogs to have any kind of comfortable existence, they would require medication for the rest of their lives. Their sickly appearance and the continual cost of medication made them unadoptable.
One dog, Labrador, female, 2 years old, had lost its hair and had many round red spots on the rib, buttock and muzzle. After 10 days of treatment BID Kritter Spritz®, the spots disappeared. After treatment, the dog was vaccinated, dewormed and was adopted in June 1998. The other 3 dogs have recovered sufficiently enough to warrant the scheduling of other medical care needed to bring them to adoptable condition.

Through the local SPCA, I picked up a black quarter horse mare, 16 years old. She had a major abscess on her neck the size of a grapefruit. She had been put on antibiotics several times but just wasn’t healing. By the time I got her, it had developed into a chronic condition that was constantly draining and smelled like 4 week old road kill.
I started by daily flushing the wound with Kritter Spritz®. Although the abscess didn’t go away, the odor disappeared and the swelling went down completely. After two months, my vet looked at the mare. She was impressed at how clear the discharge was and that it didn’t smell bad. She decided to open her up and saved me a baggie full of the tissue she removed from deep inside, being very surprised that it appeared to be "squeaky clean" for dead tissue and did not stink. She said that under other circumstances, like a bad infection, the horse would probably have died.
I continued to spray Kritter Spritz® to help the outside of the wound. She is now 100% well and has a small scar that is hardly noticeable.
