Frequently Asked Questions
about LiceRGone

What is the maximum times per week that LiceRGone can be used?
There is no problem with using
Lice R Gone daily as it is safe to use just like a regular shampoo.   During a lice infestation, usually once per week is enough to eliminate everything on the head and in the environment.  As a preventative many families use it once or twice per month.

How important is it to comb after using LiceRGone?
Lice and their eggs can become tangled in the hair as they are removed.  Using a good conditioner (i.e. Tangles R Gone) and running a comb through the hair assists in getting the lice and eggs to rinse down the drain.  No fancy lice combs are necessary to this process as many people find that an ordinary fine toothed comb works well.

Does LiceRGone kill lice?
The law states you cannot say a product kills insects unless it contains a pesticide (poison). So unfortunately, the law prevents us from giving you an honest answer to that question.   However, Lice R Gone does strip the exoskeleton from the louse leaving it immobile and subject to dehydration.

Does LiceRGone eliminate nits?
Yes. The enzymes in Lice R Gone dissolve the strong natural glue that glues the nits onto the hair shaft. Once the glue is dissolved, the nits can be simply washed away.

Will lice become resistant to LiceRGone?
No. The enzymes in this product are an essential part of the their natural growth process. Since it is basic to their survival, they cannot become resistant.

Is there a minimum age for safe use on children?
No.  It is safe for adults, children, plants and animals.

Is it safe for pregnant woman?
Yes. It is safe for the mother. It is safe for the unborn child.

Is it safe for nursing mothers or nursing child?
Yes. LiceRGone's naturally occurring enzymes are not harmful to either the mother or the nursing child.

Do I still have to clean and bag everything?
Yes and No. Families have found that when they use LiceRGone once a week for 3 weeks lice are dead in the environment whether you vacuumed, washed or bagged anything.  Head lice only lay eggs on the head and feed on the head.  If you keep the head under control, they will quickly die in the environment.   Fortunately LiceRGone is economical enough to do this saving families  hundreds of dollars in cleaning expenses and utilities
.

Is it safe to use on the skin for other parasites?
Yes.  LiceRGone has been purchased and used by thousands of families for the creeping, crawly biting skin parasites.  Here are some suggestions on use for other skin parasites.   We have also received letters from users which you can read here.
