Questions from Scabies Sufferers

My family are using your product, which we have ordered from Allergy Matters in England.

I was very hopeful that this would be the answer to our problems, but although it is helping, it is not getting rid of our parasites. Could you help us?

One problem is that we have not had a diagnosis. I am familiar with head lice and have never before had a problem getting rid of them with combing and tea tree oil, but this case is different.

It is principally our scalps that are affected, but the parasites can also inhabit any body hair, wounds (where they prevent healing), ears and nose. I can feel crawling in both ears right now, my mother is really worried because she has been feeling it right up her nostrils. Three generations of our family are affected, six people in three different households.

The creatures themselves are tiny, round black dots like the full stop on a page. They appear featureless to the naked eye, no head or legs can be seen. They look much more like scabies mites than headlice, but are not infesting typical scabies zones.

Their reproduction rate seems to be very fast - if I use your shampoo one day the itching stops and when I use the electric comb, only dust comes out my hair. By the same time the next day I will be itchy, and can dislodge several visible black spots.

My mother and sister went to a private dermatologist yesterday. The doctor said she couldn't see anything, and seemed to believe they were imagining it. My sister was the first one affected and got it worst, she used a chemical pesticide on her scalp which didn't work, reacted badly to the chemical and now she is covered with psoriasis (she was already a psoriasis sufferer but this made it worse).

My mother and sister believe that she caught this bug from a second hand afghan rug she bought at a charity shop.

Allergy Matters do not stock your house spray, they sent us permethrin spray instead. What do you think of permethrin? I don't relish using it.

Can we get your house spray from anywhere in the UK and do we need anything else? Do you know what this bug is?

Are you the same company as Safe2Use or Natural Ginesis? It seems that several manufacturers may be producing products with the same brand names, its a bit confusing.

Yours sincerely,

Sharon, United Kingdom

RESPONSE:

Sharon,

After over 3 years, I've heard the same type of descriptions from thousands of individuals in the US, Canada and several other countries.  The "little black dots" have been identified by many as a type of mite (not scabies). I have heard that here in the US the Center for Disease Control has now been called in by some Health Depts. to help identify whatever is eating on people.  We are hopeful to get more information on this and will share it with all.

People have used a cotton swab to wash out ears and nose with Not Nice to Lice or Lice R Gone.   Have you read how people are using Lice R Gone/Not Nice to Lice for scabies and parasites? http://www.licergone.com/howto-scabies.htm

The sad thing is that these are probably mutated after 40 years of chemical warfare and/or Genetic Modification. There are many people here that seem to be infected by a nematode that appears to have been modified by a chemical company. We've all become the victims of the corporations' war on insects and greed. The response of physicians in the US has been to deny and evade explanation. They are quickly labeling people as delusional. http://delusion.ucdavis.edu/.

Permethrin is a neurotoxin used in pest control  It is a registered pesticide poison.  For further information please read:  http://www.safe2use.com/poisons-pesticides/pesticides/products-lice-scabies.htm

You should be able to get borax laundry soap in the UK. Most people tell us that using a couple of cups in a tub to soak gives them immediate temporary relief of the itching.  It has also been excellent the laundry. Cleaning with borax will also kill things on the surface.

Safe2Use is an independent company and we provide information to the public and sell nontoxic products.  Ginesis is the former manufacturer of the old Not Nice to Lice formula that was sold in the United States.  It is my understanding that Ginesis discontinued production of that old product January 1, 2003.

The Not Nice to Lice you purchased in the UK is not produced by Ginesis nor is there any relationship between the two products except that both were developed by the same individual.  Not Nice to Lice/Lice R Gone is produced by Safe Solutions, Inc.  The developer of the original Not Nice to Lice improved the formula so much he didn't want there to be any confusion in the US about the nature of the new formula so it is called Lice R Gone here and Not Nice to Lice in the UK.

For ideas about nontoxic pest control you might want to download Steve Tvedten's book "The Bug Stops Here".  It is located at http://www.thebestcontrol.com
