Hi Linda,

Thanks to your advice and the products you sell, I believe I have gotten a handle on this tenacious parasite. My experience with a parasite started at the end of July when I was on a trip in California. I came home to my family with  a couple of bites (like flea bites) on my thigh, turned into a sudden outburst all over my torso, legs and arms a week later.  My doctor said it was scabies and I went through 2 unsuccessful rounds of permethrin. My husband and daughter broke out in the same manner 2 weeks after my return home. My doctor agreed that it wasn't behaving like a typical scabies case and recommended everyone including the dog and cat be treated with Ivermectin because that should take care of "whatever it is". It seemed to be effective immediately because the creepy crawly sensation stopped but I continued to get fresh bites and tiny red blisters that were extremely itchy.

From the initial diagnosis of scabies, I had put all of the items from the trip into sealed plastic bags. I also steam cleaned the mattresses a couple of times. I was diligent about washing all clothes and bedding after a single use. At first I used Borax and hot water, but there was still activity in the clothing. I did notice a difference when I started using the Enzyme-Cleaner with Peppermint (1/8 cup per load) and found it even to be effective on the clothes from trip. Everyone bathed in the solution (1/4 cup per tubful) everyday for a week. The mattresses, couch, cars, shoes and pillows were saturated with the solution (3 tbls. per 24 oz.).

My husband's and daughter's symptoms were gone but I still continued to get new bites at my ankles, had creepy crawlies and the dog was scratching more. It turns out that she had been sleeping on the couch without my knowledge. We tore up the carpets and got rid of the couch. All the bites were gone but the creepy crawlies remained.

I was exhausted and started to feel defeated. Then I started to wonder why was I still being affected but not my husband or daughter. I came to the conclusion that there was something about my body that made me a "favorable host" and that I had to change my chemistry to make me less attractive to bugs.

I have always been a mosquito magnet and tended to eat a lot of sweets. So, I cut back on the sweets, got plenty of rest and started to meditate more. I went to see a Chinese Herbalist/Acupuncturist who gave me a supplement to take internally that would force the parasites to the surface. Then I used a topical herbal treatment (the herbs had to be boiled to make the preparation) to kill them on the surface. It was very successful.

As a long term goal, I am taking a daily supplements to change my ph levels so that I my system is less acidic. Coral Calcium helps with this in addition to eating lots of leafy green veggies. The other supplements, Active-H, Organic Greens and Essential Minerals, are available through New Vision.com.

I wish I could say that this is the end of my story, but it isn't. I shampoo my dog with the Enzyme Cleaner and it has helped with her scratching but not entirely. I'm trying to figure out how to apply the same inside out tactic with her.

A couple of weeks ago, I took my hiking boots out to one of those plastic bags that had been sealed since August. There was still a lot of activity inside of them! A couple of days later, I had some itchy red blisters. So, I took the internal Chinese herbal formula and used the Enzyme Cleaner straight from the bottle like a shower gel on a body sponge and continue to use it everyday. This latest episode has ended.

So, the bottom line is that I still have more work to do on myself (and my dog) but at least I have the tools to work with!
