We have been fighting what we think are fleas for about 3 months now. We even moved to a different state bringign with us the minimum amount of stuff. It seems that these "fleas" can survive in our clothes after repeated heavy duty laundering with hot water, detergent, clorox and borax!! Anyway, we are finally seeing some relief after using the enzymatic cleaner of the Safe Solutions people on our clothes and carpets.

My main concern now is our two year old daughter. A couple of weeks ago I noticed that after bathing her and oiling her skin, I could see these strange threadlike/hairlike things stick to her skin (like small pieces of black fuzz, like something that would come off a sweater). I could remove them with a baby wipe or using my nails. Two days ago I saw one of these "thread-like parasites" on the outside of her vagina. I tried to remove it with my nail (but not very hard for fear of scratching her) but couldn't. Yesterday "this thing" didn't look like a thread anymore, but more like a black pencil-thin point on her skin, and that side of her vagina looks slightly enlarged, though not red or hot and doesn't seem to bother her. Somebody on your site mentioned some "lint bugs" that would come out of the skin if exposed to borax. I tried a dab of saturated borax solution on my baby but nothing happened.

Have you ever seen or heard of anything like this? What can we do? I would really appreciate a word of advice from you. Thank you for reading this lengthy message.
