So long story short, I'm a college student studying abroad and I ended up having scabies for over 3 months before I actually knew what it was...the doctors in the U.S. kept saying it was allergies to cats, and even when I went to the dermotologist, he said I had dishydrotic excema. It wasn't until I left for France, that someone got it right (and I'm still here now). When I arrived here September 1st I was absolutely miserable my symptoms were awful...I couldn't sleep, the itching was insane. Finally I went to a French doctor, who put me on steroids for a week because HE thought it was allergies, then sent me to a dermo (talk about running around in circles) and within 5 minutes of looking at me, the dermo knew it was scabies....I washed everything, sprayed everything, took 4 Ivermectin which made my skin 100 times worse than ever before (4 weeks ago), then did one dose of Ascabiol 24 hour lotion (3 weeks ago).

I was super itchy for a while after, but the main difference was that I actually started to be able to sleep at night. Now I sleep fine every night, I'm still a little itchy during the day but it's NOTHING compared to what it was....

So here is my question...not all of my bumps are gone. Some of them come back, get red, then go away...and some of them look exactly like the old ones (you know kind of like a clear pimple)I'm really terrified I've been reinfected because I had such a bad case...by bad case I mean not just in certain parts of my body but basically everywhere since I had it for so long without knowing.

Should I go to the doctor? I don't really want to poison my skin again if I don't have to, and I'd prefer to just get the skin test to find out for sure.

This experience has been, to say the least, not very fun....especially since I'm in a foreign country. Someone please help! I'm going crazy...I hate these stupid bugs!
