The lights were off when I noticed that my leg kind of itched. I felt a welt and got up and that's when I saw they were scattered here and there up and down my leg. Some of the welts are small and some are larger (maybe size of a nickel for the large ones.) I haven't seen any kind of blood stains or anything on either our sheets or mattress. I live in WA state. Also the bites don't have a puncture mark. Just a swollen bump that itches like crazy. After scratching them a single scab appears on top.
Believe me, after finding a bunch more bites last night I was very ready to toss our mattress and get a new one. I think we are going to try putting on a zippered matteress cover and pillow case covers. I hope that works. Where is the best place to buy them. Do regular stores (Walmart, etc.) carry them or do I need to find them online?
